“Ausflug nach Wien“

Zwecks Wahrung eines Termins sind wir nach Wien beordert.
Unser Vorhaben, die Kinder für eine Nacht bei ihrer Oma in der Steiermark zu lassen scheitert.
Das Probeschlafen bei der Oma lief anfangs ganz gut; das Abendessen ist ein Genuss für die Mädchen, doch als das Licht ausgeht, rollen die
Tränen. Nun ist das Einschlafritual unserer Töchter über das vergangene Jahr hier in unserer fahrenden Box ein Besonderes und so ist es nur erwartungsgemäß, dass Karin die
beiden am späten Abend wieder zu uns in den Lkw holt.
So bleiben wir flexibel und ändern unsere Pläne

Wien wird Familienausflug und wir fahren alle, im von Karins Schwägerin geborgten Pkw, in die Stadt.
Fast zwei Jahre bin ich nicht mehr durch die schöne Stadt gefahren. Der Verkehr ist gefühlt abermals mehr geworden. Leider bleibt diesmal keine
Zeit für den Tierpark und die Cafés unterliegen auch noch der Aktualität.
Aber sehen wir uns alle gemeinsam, übernachten in Wien und die Mädchen sehen ihre Freundin wieder; haben Gelegenheit zusammen zu spielen,
während wir Erwachsenen unseren Termin erledigen. Oma Barbara beaufsichtigt die wilden Mäuse, die sobald wir aus der Türe sind buchstäblich auf dem Tisch tanzen. Da haben sie
mit Barbara auch jemand, die so garnicht wie eine Oma daherkommt. Die Mädchen haben richtig Spaß und als Barbara die Schminke auspackt ist es um die Bande geschehen
Am Folgenachmittag sind wir bereits wieder zurück am Lkw und atmen wieder steirische Landluft.
Und verpassen auch nicht, wie die Schafe ihre neue Frisur erhalten. Jetzt kann der Frühling kommen, der Pelz ist ab.
Insgesamt ist es ja noch etwas frisch; dafür dass bereits Anfang Mai ist. Aber verwöhnt vom letzten Winter in Griechenland möchten wir nicht
klagen.
Zur Demontage der hinteren Staubox ist es mir recht, dass es nicht zu heiss ist. Eine Stunde später hängt sie bereits wieder an Ort und
Stelle.
In den nächsten Tagen wird uns unser Weg auch hinauf nach Deutschland führen.
Wir sind gespannt, wie sich das anfühlen wird, wenn wir wieder einmal ins Rheinland kommen.
Aber dazu später mehr.

"Trip to Vienna“
We are ordered to Vienna to keep an appointment.
Our plan to leave the children with their grandmother in Styria for one night fails. The trial sleep at grandma's went quite well at
first;
dinner is a treat for the girls, but when the lights go out, the tears roll.
Now our daughters' ritual of falling asleep over the past year here in our travelling box is a special one and so it is only as expected that
Karin brings them both back to us in the truck late in the evening.
So we stay flexible and change our plans .

Vienna becomes a family outing and we all drive into town in the car borrowed from Karin's sister-in-law.
I haven't driven through the beautiful city for almost two years. The traffic feels like it has increased again. Unfortunately, there's no time
for the zoo this time, and the cafés are still subject to topicality.
But let's all see each other together, spend the night in Vienna and the girls see their friend again; have a chance to play together while we
adults do our appointment. Grandma Barbara supervises the wild mice, who literally dance on the table as soon as we are out of the door.
With Barbara, they also have someone who doesn't look like a granny at all. The girls have a lot of fun and when Barbara unpacks the make-up,
the gang is all over it .

The following afternoon we are already back at the truck and breathe the Styrian country air again.
And we don't miss the sheep getting their new hairstyle. Now spring can come, the fur is off.
All in all, it's still a bit fresh, considering that it's already the beginning of May. But spoiled by the last winter in Greece, we don't want
to complain.
To dismantle the rear stowage box, it's fine with me that it's not too hot. An hour later it is already back in place.
In the next few days, our way will also lead us up to Germany.
But more about that later.
We are curious to see how it will feel when we come back to the Rhineland.
